According to the Decennial U.S. Census, the surname Strada has seen a shift in popularity over the years. In 2000, it was ranked 40,622nd in terms of most common surnames and had a count of 507 people bearing the name. By 2010, however, this rank had dropped to 53,072, a decrease of 30.65%. The number of individuals bearing the Strada surname also declined by 23.08% to 390. Consequently, the proportion of people with this surname per 100,000 individuals also fell from 0.19 to 0.13, marking a decrease of 31.58%.

The data from the Decennial U.S. Census also provides insight into the ethnic identity associated with the Strada surname.
