Based on data from the Decennial U.S. Census, the popularity of the surname Lovo has significantly increased between 2000 and 2010. In 2000, it was ranked as the 42,437th most common surname, but by 2010, its rank had jumped to 24,554. This represents a substantial increase of 42.14%. Additionally, the number of individuals with the Lovo surname more than doubled during this period, rising from 481 in 2000 to 1,018 in 2010, an increase of 111.64%. Similarly, the prevalence of the Lovo name increased at a rate of 94.44%, moving from 0.18 per 100,000 people to 0.35.

Race and Ethnicity of people with the last name Lovo

The ethnic identity associated with the Lovo surname also underwent changes according to the Decennial U.S. Census data. In 2000, the highest percentage of people with the Lovo surname identified as Hispanic (81.70%), followed by White (14.55%) and then small percentages identifying as Asian/Pacific Islander or with two or more races (both at 1.46%). By 2010, while the Hispanic identification had increased slightly to 89.39%, the percentage of those identifying as White decreased significantly to 9.23%. The proportion of those identifying as Asian/Pacific Islander also decreased to 0.69%. Interestingly, a new demographic appeared in 2010, with 0.49% identifying as Black, whereas there were no individuals with the Lovo surname identifying as Black in 2000.
