In 2000, it was the 53,299th most popular surname in the U.S., however, by 2010, it had slipped to the 57,101st position, resulting in a change of -7.13%. Additionally, the count of people with this surname also fell slightly from 364 in 2000 to 357 in 2010, marking a -1.92% change. Consequently, its proportion per 100k people also dropped by -7.69%.

Race and Ethnicity of people with the last name Latina

The Decennial U.S. Census data further reveals changes in the ethnicity distribution associated with the Latina surname between 2000 and 2010. Most bearers of the surname identified as White, accounting for 88.19% in 2000 and increasing slightly to 90.20% in 2010. The percentage of those identifying as Asian/Pacific Islander also increased substantially from 3.02% to 4.48%. Meanwhile, there was a significant decrease among those identifying as Hispanic, with the percentage nearly halving from 5.49% to 2.80%. Similarly, the percentage of Black individuals bearing the Latina surname also fell from 1.92% to 1.40%.
