In 2000, it ranked as the 43,955th most popular surname, but by 2010, it had climbed to 39,281st, marking a positive change of approximately 10.63%. The count of individuals bearing the surname also increased during this period, from 462 to 560, signifying an increase of 21.21%. The proportion per 100k people also saw an increase of 11.76%.

In terms of the ethnic identity of those with the Dario surname, there have been some noticeable shifts between 2000 and 2010 according to the Decennial U.S. Census.
