Based on the Decennial U.S. Census, the surname Bibi has significantly increased in popularity from 2000 to 2010. In 2000, it was ranked 24,529 and jumped to 14,781 in 2010, showing a change of about 40 percent. The count of individuals with the Bibi surname also increased drastically by over 110 percent from 955 people in 2000 to approximately 2,009 in 2010. Consequently, the proportion of people named Bibi per 100,000 has nearly doubled from 0.35 to 0.68.

When looking at the ethnic identity associated with the surname Bibi, the Decennial U.S. Census data shows that there's been an increase in its association with the Asian/Pacific Islander group from 2000 to 2010, rising from 65.24 percent to 82.53 percent, which is a change of around 26.5 percent. However, the percentage of those identifying as two or more races and white with the Bibi surname has decreased significantly, with two or more races dropping from 16.75 percent to 2.94 percent, and white decreasing from 16.34 percent to 11.85 percent.
